You will provide technical guidance to our engineering team and collaborate closely with engineering and product leaders to deliver exceptional solutions to our customers.
You will address ambiguous business challenges and translate them into elegant technical solutions.
You will apply object-oriented principles, algorithms, and data structures to develop systems at Amazon scale.
You will design, launch, and re-engineer multi-tier distributed systems handling large volumes of data.
You will quickly adapt to a dynamic development environment with a focus on simple and extensible code.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of professional software development experience (non-internship)
3+ years of experience in design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems (non-internship)
Proficiency in at least one programming language
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field

The base salary for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market.
Compensation is influenced by several factors, including market location, and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Amazon offers a comprehensive compensation package.Depending on the position, equity, sign-on bonuses, and other forms of compensation may be included as part of the total compensation package, along with a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
