Job Title: Preschool and Afterschool Program Director

KPAC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead our Preschool and Afterschool programs. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing, staffing, and working with our programs to provide a safe and engaging environment for children of all ages and abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Development: Create, oversee, and staff KPAL preschool curriculum and afterschool schedule.
  • Communication: Communicate schedule and lesson plans with preschool and afterschool staff, creating weekly schedules well in advance with a plan for sick call-outs.
  • Program Operations: Work preschool and afterschool daily, including driving our afterschool pick-up van (or bus) to pick up at select schools.
  • Parent Communication: Communicate with parents via regular updates and in-person meetings.
  • Administrative Tasks: Monitor email accounts and work with office manager and gym manager on all issues, communicating weekly plans at least 2 weeks in advance to ensure compliance with all KPAC rules and regulations.
  • Additional Opportunities: Additional hours teaching gymnastics/athletic classes are available.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Extensive experience working with preschool and school-aged children through 5th grade.
  • Credentials: Valid NC driver's license (bus license is a plus) with a clean driving record.
  • Background Check: Background check required.
