Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Facilities Manager to join our team at Hays Recruitment. As a key member of our property management and development team, you will be responsible for leading capital improvement projects and overseeing the maintenance and repair program for a large multifamily condominium complex in Northern Virginia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create a comprehensive master program and schedule for capital improvement projects, including budget and cost estimates, and work timetables.
  • Review and assess construction contracts, ensuring compliance with budget and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, general contractors, and subcontractors to ensure successful project execution.
  • Monitor and report project progress and budget to the HOA board, seeking approval as necessary.
  • Maintain day-to-day operations of the property, including delegating or completing maintenance orders to the maintenance team.
  • Develop and implement reports on maintenance, repairs, safety, and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff.
  • Collaborate with building owners and upper management on budgeting for minor property needs.
  • Ensure the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, including offices, conference rooms, parking lots, and outdoor recreation spaces.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in facilities or property management, capital improvement, or construction services.
  • Proficient understanding and expertise in multifamily condominiums, apartments, or townhomes.
  • Leadership qualities and experience in mentoring and delegating tasks to employees.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to communicate and develop relationships with multiple vendors.
  • Ability to conduct daily property walkthroughs.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
