Job Summary

The Meat Department Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the meat department, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership: Provide guidance and direction to the meat department team, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standard.
  • Customer Service: Ensure that all customers receive excellent service, responding to their needs and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels, ensuring that all products are stocked and rotated regularly.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all products meet company quality standards, conducting regular quality checks and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Team Development: Provide training and development opportunities to the meat department team, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles effectively.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; formal food service vocational education preferred.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in a meat department or related role, with a proven track record of success.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Certifications: Food safety certification required; meat cutting certification preferred.
