Key Responsibilities and Qualifications

As a Respiratory Therapy Technician (PRN), you will:

  • Understand patient responses, medication side effects, and appropriate dosages related to respiratory care.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and other healthcare staff.
  • Instruct and assess patients, ensuring proper care and reporting any concerns.
  • Administer and maintain both routine and specialized respiratory therapies and equipment, including oxygen and ventilators.
  • Perform and interpret Arterial Blood Gas tests.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
  • BCLS certification required within 30 days of employment.
  • ACLS certification required within 30 days of employment.
  • PALS certification required within 30 days of employment.
