Role Description
The Respiratory Therapy Technician (PRN) will be responsible for delivering high-quality respiratory care to patients as needed. This role requires a solid understanding of patient responses, medication dosages, and the ability to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and patients alike.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and monitor respiratory therapies and equipment, including oxygen and ventilators.
- Evaluate patient conditions and document responses to treatments.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory care practices.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care.
- Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards in respiratory therapy.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
