Geosyntec Consultants is seeking a skilled Web Design Manager to lead the development of our company websites.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web design, user experience, and project management, with the ability to lead a team of designers and developers to create visually appealing and user-friendly websites.

The Web Design Manager will be responsible for overseeing the conceptualization and creation of website designs, ensuring they align with brand guidelines and user experience best practices.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing high-fidelity wireframes, prototypes, and mockups using tools like Adobe XD, Figma, or Sketch
  • Ensuring that websites are fully responsive, providing a seamless experience across devices and screen sizes
  • Supervising junior designers, providing feedback, and ensuring that all design work meets high standards of quality
  • Collaborating with developers, content creators, and marketing teams to ensure that design elements align with broader business goals
  • Presenting and justifying design decisions to stakeholders

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 8 years of progressive professional experience in engineering, architecture, commercial construction, or marketing firms specializing in the marketing of professional services.

A strong design portfolio that showcases a range of projects, including web design, user interface design, and other digital media work, is required.

Mastery of design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, Sketch, and prototyping tools like InVision or Adobe XD is highly advantageous.

Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is also highly advantageous, especially in smaller teams or projects requiring close collaboration with developers.
