Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Architectural Designer to join our team at Andalusia Design. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating innovative architectural solutions using parametric design tools and collaborating with architects and designers across various design platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with architects and designers to create and model both standard and customized architectural solutions using Rhino/Grasshopper.
  • Work across multiple design and rendering platforms (Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, V-Ray, etc.) to ensure seamless integration of designs into architectural client project workflows.
  • Provide design expertise and guidance to ensure that all solutions balance aesthetic quality with technical precision.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables from the specification stage through to project completion and follow-up; communicate regularly with clients.
  • Lead the creation of detailed technical documentation and manage project deliverables.
  • Communicate and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to translate design ideas into actionable solutions.
  • Develop and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with architects, interior designers, contractors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Manage client and project information in MS Dynamics CRM, SharePoint and Miro.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a closely related field that provides a strong foundation in technical design principles.
  • 5+ years of architectural design experience, with a strong focus on parametric design, product modeling, and fabrication techniques.
  • Proficiency in Rhino, Grasshopper, Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Dynamo, Enscape, V-Ray, and other industry-standard platforms.
  • Understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and installation methodologies for architectural products preferred.
  • Strong design sensibility with the ability to conceptualize innovative solutions while maintaining technical feasibility.
  • Ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining quality.

Location & Reporting

This position works out of Austin, TX, and reports to the Chief Commercial Officer. This is a full-time, salaried position and exempt from overtime pay.

Travel: Up to 10% outside of region
