We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Cardiac Ultrasound Specialist to join our team at Stony Brook Medicine. As a valued member of our Non-Invasive Cardiology Department, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to our mission of delivering high-quality healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities- Perform and assist in the performance of echocardiographic procedures on adult inpatients, utilizing standard 2D, color flow, Doppler, and M-Mode techniques and views as indicated and needed.
- Enter charges for exams performed and enter patient data/measurements into reporting systems.
- Act as a clinical resource and preceptor for new staff and students, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
- Serve on selected committees of the nursing, administrative, and medical staff as assigned by the Nurse Manager of Non-Invasive Cardiology.
- A graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound school program.
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer or registry eligible.
- Preferred: One year experience in Cardiac Ultrasound and Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer or registry eligible.
