Position Summary

As the Chapter Outreach Coordinator, you will be a vital contributor to the success of the Nebraska chapter's initiatives, events, and fundraising efforts. Reporting directly to the Senior Executive Director, your role will involve assisting in the development, execution, and facilitation of the chapter's educational and community outreach programs. This encompasses the conceptualization, planning, and management of events to ensure a seamless and impactful experience for participants. Additionally, you will support the coordination of the chapter's fundraising campaigns, leveraging your expertise in volunteer management, budgeting, reporting, and relationship-building with donors and community partners. Your contributions will enhance awareness, engage the bleeding disorders community, and secure essential resources to advance the chapter's mission.

Key Responsibilities

Program Development

  • Collaborate in establishing objectives for programs and assessment tools to evaluate success.
  • Coordinate community outreach events, acting as a liaison for consumers and the constituent database.
  • Maintain a robust relationship with the local Hemophilia Treatment Center clinical team.
  • Oversee and implement the chapter's consumer assistance initiatives.

Fundraising Initiatives

  • Assist with fundraising event registration, including donors, vendors, sponsors, and participants.
  • Recruit, screen, and coordinate volunteers effectively.
  • Support budget preparation and monitoring for fundraising activities.
  • Track revenues and expenditures related to fundraising events.
  • Establish relationships with key vendors for successful fundraising event execution.
  • Assist in the creation of communications for fundraising events (e.g., marketing materials, registrations, follow-ups).
  • Support the establishment of goals for fundraising events and assessment tools.

Administrative and Operational Support

  • Assist with chapter communications (newsletters, social media, website, etc.).
  • Respond to industry requests and reports.
  • Address inquiries, ensuring effective communication.
  • Support the Nebraska Chapter Senior Executive Director with additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in non-profit fundraising or outreach activities.
  • Exceptional written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong experience in report preparation.
  • Proficient knowledge of social media and basic marketing platforms.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage events according to schedule.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Capacity to connect with the bleeding disorder community and the broader Nebraska community to raise awareness.
  • Excellent networking and interpersonal skills.

Work Environment:

This position is hybrid and open to candidates willing to relocate or currently residing in Nebraska. Candidates should be comfortable working remotely with a dispersed team. Regular travel is required, typically 6-8 times a year for chapter events outside the local area, often necessitating overnight or weekend attendance.

Compensation:

The starting base salary range for this position is $32,000-$42,000, non-negotiable due to our commitment to maintaining internal pay equity.
