Position Overview:
The primary function of this role is to oversee the planning process to minimize costs, enhance efficiency, and implement continuous improvement objectives.

This position is accountable for maximizing customer service levels while optimizing finished goods inventory investment and manufacturing resources to enhance productivity.

The Production Control Manager will collaborate with the Senior Production Control Manager and Production Departments to attain the highest service levels, actively contributing to critical business decisions related to:
staffing, demand load strategies, inventory management, finished goods levels, and productivity targets.
Key Responsibilities:


Responsible for managing and developing staff, including assigning and directing work, evaluating performance, hiring, training, integrating, and retaining talent.

Oversee departmental objectives related to the implementation of Engineering Change Orders (ECO). Ensure a seamless transition from development to production.
Guarantee that new products and processes are adequately prepared for production readiness.
Develop and lead the planning team to focus on departmental and corporate goals, demonstrating capability and urgency in addressing expedited requirements and reprioritization, while showcasing ownership and accountability at the individual staff level.

The individual must be capable of driving closure on challenging projects with limited support, influencing others to make effective decisions, and managing multiple projects concurrently.

Develop and maintain countermeasures to address root causes for products on backorder.
Establish and monitor departmental metrics, analyze results, and identify trends. Propel the team towards appropriate corrective actions when necessary.

Engage manufacturing teams in the continuous improvement process to ensure projects are identified, prioritized, and executed in a timely and effective manner.

Mentor and guide lean manufacturing practices.

Assess and manage potential line shortages by analyzing build schedules, shortage reports, on-hand inventory reports, and supplier delivery information. Cultivate communication relationships with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Shipping, and Customer Service to manage supply and demand.

Promote a culture of safety and environmental health.
Facilitate individual development within the team.

Qualifications:


Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Minimum Bachelor's Degree.
Ability to independently manage challenging projects or assignments with minimal direction.
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and prior experience in a medical manufacturing environment is advantageous.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in computer applications; working knowledge of SAP is a plus.
Experience with low volume, high complexity capital equipment or high volume, low complexity products.
Ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural, multinational environment and mobilize cross-functional high-performance teams.
Effectively delegate tasks, responsibilities, and authority.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including people development/coaching, objective setting, and evaluation.
