The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services requires the services of an Epic Certified Training Manager to manage the planning and implementation of an EHR implementation project for DSOHF.

  • The Training Manager is responsible for communicating training policies and procedures across the organization.
  • This person will also coordinate role analysis and all classroom and equipment aspects of Epic led virtual training.

Key Responsibilities:

Classroom Administration and Planning:

  • Manage onboarding and engagement of staff providers and managers, overseeing day-to-day activities.
  • Develop processes for staff providers and managers to escalate questions and concerns about Epic class assignments and registration.
  • Provide Epic with the necessary data to import trainee information into the Epic Training Platform.
  • Communicate training registration and completion data from Epic to operational and project leadership.
  • Ensure all staff have appropriate Epic training tracks assigned and are registered for Epic classes.
  • Secure training rooms, workstations, printers, projectors, screens, barcode scanners, and other equipment needed for virtual Epic led training and any operationally led DILs that require a computer lab.

End-User Engagement and Change Management:

  • Set training requirements for end-user system access and obtain buy-in on this decision from project and operational leadership.
  • Communicate with staff throughout the project to ensure they are staying engaged and prepared to support end-user training and readiness.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in managing onboarding and engagement of staff providers and managers.
  • 5+ years of experience in developing processes for staff providers and managers to escalate questions and concerns about Epic class assignments and registration.
  • 5+ years of experience in communicating training registration and completion data from Epic to operational and project leadership.
  • 5+ years of experience in ensuring all staff have appropriate Epic training tracks assigned and are registered for Epic classes.
  • 5+ years of experience in setting training requirements for end-user system access and obtaining buy-in on this decision from project and operational leadership.
