The 6NE Medical Progressive Care Unit is a specialized unit catering to a diverse range of medical conditions, focusing on patients with cardiac, respiratory, renal, gastrointestinal, neurological issues, sepsis, and other complex health challenges. This unit requires vigilant monitoring and assessment of patients, with evaluations conducted at least every four hours.

Role Responsibilities
The Patient Care Assistant will:
- Deliver patient care in accordance with established care plans, unit protocols, and hospital policies under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Ensure safe transportation of patients using wheelchairs or stretchers, while maintaining accurate documentation of services rendered.
- Act as an Observer for patients requiring constant supervision, utilizing both in-person and remote monitoring to enhance patient safety.
- Perform general clerical and receptionist duties to support the efficient operation of the nursing unit.
- Document all care provided in the electronic medical record system.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hospital or nursing home setting is preferred.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred.
Work Environment
This position is part-time, with day shifts scheduled from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, including variable weekends.
