Position Summary:
The Practical Nurse provides nursing care to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse.
This role involves coordinating and supporting the efforts of certified nursing assistants while actively engaging in the direct care of residents, adhering to the specific strategies outlined in the care plan.
Key Responsibilities:
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or GED
Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program
Current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New York State
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Preferred experience in long-term care
Post-hire requirement: One (1) year of experience in the role to demonstrate acceptable performance

WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Physical Demands:
Involves pushing and lifting residents, remaining on feet for extended periods
