Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Manufacturing Controls Engineer II to join our team in Westbrook, Maine. As part of our IDDM INFECTIOUS DISEASE DEVELOPED MARKETS Division, you'll play a critical role in supporting product development from concept through sustained manufacturing of FDA-regulated products. Your expertise will help us drive process development, equipment acquisition, and leadership of supporting development partners. Responsibilities
As a Manufacturing Controls Engineer II, your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing processes and specifying equipment to meet project requirements
- Evaluating machine logic and controls to troubleshoot equipment and identify process improvement opportunities
- Integrating controls hardware and software into new and existing manufacturing equipment
- Designing experiments, validating, completing testing, and analyzing data
- Suggesting and supporting new methods or materials for continual improvement of quality and efficiency
- Analyzing current equipment for process suitability and providing detailed plans for improvement
- Creating and revising manufacturing documents, specifications, standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety instructions, validation protocols, risk assessments, and other technical documents to ensure compliant, efficient, and safe procedures

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Previous experience with common manufacturing automation technologies and architectures is required
- Must be able to work on problems of diverse scope where analysis requires evaluation of obscure or unknown data

Preferred Qualifications
If you have experience working in a GMP, FDA, ISO, and USDA regulated environment, familiarity with cGMP and ISO 13485 regulations and practices, and proficiency in vision systems, robots, and electrical aptitude, that's a definite plus

Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position ranges from $57,300 to $114,700 depending on location and experience.
