Position Overview
We are currently seeking a dedicated Pastry Sous Chef to enhance our culinary team. The ideal candidate should possess a genuine enthusiasm for high-quality ingredients and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced kitchen environment. This full-time managerial role encompasses approximately 50 hours per week, focusing on overseeing the team during preparation and production shifts, while also covering at least two baking shifts for café production.
Key Responsibilities
As a Pastry Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in the creation of pastries for all establishments within the Cambridge Street Hospitality Group, including various renowned concepts. Your responsibilities will include:
- Reporting directly to the Executive Pastry Chef and Executive Pastry Sous Chef.
- Managing daily production processes and ensuring product quality.
- Maintaining precise inventory levels and product standards for the pastry team.
- Assisting with the café sandwich station as required.
- Ensuring a clean and organized workspace and equipment.
- Overseeing the cleanliness and organization of the walk-in storage.
- Guiding supporting staff with respect and professionalism regarding product quality and cleanliness.
- Communicating effectively and respectfully with all management levels.
- Staying informed about current industry trends and best practices.
- Exhibiting flexibility and understanding in a team environment.
