Position Overview:

Under the supervision of the Director of Cardiovascular and Bariatric Services, the Registered Echocardiogram Technician plays a vital role in executing various non-invasive cardiovascular assessments and procedures. The technician is expected to operate efficiently and professionally while maintaining a positive demeanor when engaging with patients, their families, physicians, and colleagues.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of educational training in Non-invasive Cardiology; preferred training includes basic and advanced arrhythmia.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Cardiovascular Ultrasound and non-invasive techniques.
  • Possession of one of the following certifications: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from ARDMS, Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) from CCI, or Registered Vascular Sonographer from ARDMS or CCI, with at least two (2) years of echocardiography experience.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
