Job Summary

ECC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Environmental Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our environmental remediation team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing scientific and engineering services to address environmental remediation and hazardous waste management projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consult and collaborate with project managers, site superintendents, and other stakeholders to ensure project progress and deliverables
  • Evaluate and select appropriate environmental technologies and cost-effective solutions to remediate or remove contaminants
  • Plan, prepare, and review project and field submittals, including pre-construction plans, design documents, testing plans, and analytical reports
  • Apply industry standards of practice and regulatory codes and standards to environmental and field techniques
  • Identify and communicate technical, operational, and business risks to project managers and project engineers
  • Author RFQs and assist in procurement and selection of technical and specialty subcontractors
  • Perform hands-on and/or inspect fieldwork to ensure compliance with approved designs and plans
  • Review work of personnel, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure compliance with approved plans and acceptable tolerances
  • Ensure that appropriate and required testing is completed by qualified personnel using properly calibrated equipment
  • Complete related documentation, including field reports, completion reports, and regulatory documents
  • Investigate and recommend solutions in response to field changes, RFIs, and resolve fieldwork or construction issues
  • Support client, regulatory, and/or public meetings, and prepare associated presentations
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in environmental engineering, with a focus on remediation and restoration
  • Engineer certification (PE) and HAZWOPER 40 Hour Certification with 8 Hour Refresher
  • Knowledge of CERCLA and RCRA regulatory requirements
  • US Government contracting experience
  • Strong technical writing skills and active membership in professional organizations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, Construction Management, or Business Professional
  • Engineering, quality, or environmental credential (e.g., CQA, EPI)
  • USACE Contractor Quality Management for Contractors certification

ECC offers a competitive salary range of $110,000 to $125,000 annually, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, and 401k with deferral matching.
