About the Position

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is seeking highly skilled Automotive Mechanics to join our team at one of our state-of-the-art automotive service, repair, and tire sales centers in the Milledgeville, GA area.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and performing a wide variety of automotive services on customers' vehicles, including brakes, struts, and shocks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and diagnose vehicle problems
  • Perform undercar repairs, including brakes, struts, and shocks
  • Complete state-mandated inspections
  • Change oil and filters
  • Check fluids and replace worn parts
  • Dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires
Requirements

To be eligible for this position, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Have 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance
  • Have an extensive tool box of personal tools used in performing undercar repairs
Preferred Qualifications

We prefer candidates with:

  • State inspection license(s)
  • ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5)
