Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred: Completion of an accredited program for Surgical Technologists.
  • Registered Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist certification with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
  • Preferred: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensures safe patient positioning in accordance with specific guidelines and operates basic medical equipment.
  • Utilizes sterile techniques and assists in the preparation and passing of instruments during surgical procedures, anticipating the surgeon's needs to facilitate efficient operations.
  • Prepares equipment and instruments for emergency situations to guarantee immediate patient care.
  • Supports patient care and assists in the turnover of surgical rooms.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
