We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Patient Access Specialist to join our team at Ensemble Health Partners. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless patient access and registration processes, while maintaining the highest level of customer service and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Perform admitting duties for all patients admitted for services at the hospital, ensuring accurate and timely registration and insurance verification.
- Utilize quality auditing and reporting systems to ensure accounts are corrected and provide statistical data to Patient Access leadership.
- Conduct audits of accounts and assure that all forms are completed accurately and timely to meet audit standards.
- Pre-register patient accounts prior to patient visits, including inbound and outbound calling to obtain demographic, insurance, and other patient information.
- Explain general consent for treatment forms to the patient/guarantor/legal guardian, obtain necessary signatures and witness names.
- Review eligibility responses in insurance verification system and appropriately select the applicable insurance plan code.
- Distribute and document other designated forms and pamphlets, as required.
- Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) and/or CRCR, Certified Revenue Cycle Representative.
- 2-3 years of experience in patient access or leadership role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of patient insurance process for obtaining authorizations and benefits verification.
- Knowledge of Health Insurance requirements.
- Knowledge of medical terminology or CPT or procedure codes.
