Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Assembler to join our team at Babcock Power's Service Centers in Tyler, Texas. As a Mechanical Assembler, you will play a critical role in the assembly and reconditioning of rotating equipment, including bearings, and other components. Your attention to detail and ability to work accurately will ensure that our customers receive high-quality parts and services that meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Disassemble, clean, and reassemble rotating equipment to include bearings
  • Operate overhead cranes and forklifts safely and efficiently
  • Conduct regular repairs and maintenance as needed
  • Evaluate condition and determine improvements on specific rebuilds
  • Help maintain the service center through 5S initiatives and good housekeeping practices
  • Perform all day-to-day production tasks, reacting to production demands as directed
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Must adhere to all personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety guidelines at all times
  • Team player who continues to improve as an individual and helps the team to achieve successful goal attainment
  • Dependable and able to work overtime as needed
  • HS diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience with precision measuring tools a plus (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
  • Experience with coal pulverizer equipment and welding a plus
