Job Overview

Lyle Machinery is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Road Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment in a primarily field setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and diagnose mechanical deficiencies on heavy equipment
  • Perform standard mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs and assemblies
  • Travel to customer locations as assigned for job functions
  • Update the service manager and customer on any obstacles during the repair process
  • Develop trust and rapport with customers and assist in resolving customer complaints

Requirements:

  • Ability to operate a commercial class vehicle, including proper licensing and MVR
  • Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to tolerate up and down movement with bending or stooping, including reaching above and below shoulder height with arms and hands
  • Ability to be on one's feet for extended periods of time
  • Ability to operate equipment or other powered devices as necessary
