Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Resource Technician to join our team at Baystate Health. As a Behavioral Resource Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to provide constant observation and support to patients who require one-to-one care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide constant observation and support to patients who require one-to-one care, intervening as necessary to ensure patient safety.
  • Document patient status every 15 minutes and communicate patient information and observations promptly to the RN.
  • Provide care for patients, including bathing, feeding, toileting, ambulating, turning, and repositioning, as assigned.
  • Develop and maintain good human relations skills, including introducing yourself to patients, families, and staff, and consistently displaying a respectful, empathetic, and caring attitude.
  • Participate in competency validations, educational activities, and staff meetings, and complete all mandatory in-services and web strategies.
Requirements
  • 1 year of relevant patient care experience, including experience working with behavioral health patients, direct patient care, or patients in a group home setting.
  • Ability to read comprehension, write, and follow instructions.
  • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association and Certified Crisis Prevention certification within 60 days of hire.
