Key Responsibilities:
The Patient Service Representative plays a crucial role in managing the front office and ensuring a welcoming environment for patients. Responsibilities include:
- Greeting patients warmly and providing exceptional customer service.
- Entering and verifying patient demographic information in the electronic medical record system.
- Collecting and processing co-payments and outstanding balances.
- Scheduling appointments accurately and efficiently.
- Maintaining cash box and ensuring all transactions are balanced.
- Assisting with administrative tasks such as faxing, copying, and report generation.
- Completing reminder calls and managing patient follow-ups.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A minimum of a High School Diploma.
- Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in computer skills and customer service.
