Job Title: Quality Engineer

Lockheed Martin is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Engineer to join our team in Arlington, TX. This position is part of our Quality Engineering department, which plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality standards, methods, and procedures.
  • Analyze and resolve process issues, from basic to complex, to ensure product quality and reliability.
  • Perform data integrity reviews and investigations to identify and address quality issues.
  • Contribute to Corrective Action Board meetings to drive improvements and corrections.
  • Provide technical liaison support for quality engineering matters.
  • Engage in product failure investigations, material review board decisions, and corrective/preventive action.
  • Ensure corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirements.
  • Work closely with internal and external customers to ensure adequate acceptance of products.
Requirements:
  • Technical engineering degree from an accredited college in one of the following disciplines: Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Previous quality experience in developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated understanding of audit techniques.
  • Thorough understanding of engineering requirements and inspection methods.
  • Ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with control and disposition of non-conforming material (Material Review Board).
  • Experience solving complex problems associated with product quality and in Quality Management processes.
  • Experience working with government customers.
  • Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with Technical Operations, Manufacturing, and all other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel (up to 25%).
Desired Skills:
  • Lean/Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification or ASQ Certification.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration.
  • Effective communication skills: written, oral, listening, and presentation to senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, delegate, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
  • Structured problem-solving, with demonstrated use of ingenuity and creativity.
  • SAP/ERP, SharePoint, and Tableau or other business intelligence software experience.
  • Strong familiarity with Production Operations and Product Lifecycles, and knowledge of other related disciplines.
  • Experience with Sustainment/Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO).
  • Experience with Proposals.
  • Experience with Program Office/Customer Interaction, preferably DOD.
  • An understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • An understanding of Configuration Management.
  • Experience with source inspection and surveillance activities at suppliers (including acceptance of product/testing).
  • Thorough understanding in AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems as well as AS9145 Advanced Product Quality Planning.
  • Experience with use of inspection gages and measuring equipment.
  • Earned Value Management System Cost Account Manager (EVMS CAM) certification.
  • Familiarity with requirements for handling and control of Government Furnished Equipment/Property during field, ground, or operational tests.
