Schedule Information:
The position entails working hours that encompass patient care across multiple locations. This role does not require weekend shifts and includes an on-call rotation.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Staff Radiation Therapist, you will play a crucial role in the UW Health Cancer Center at ProHealth Care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the localization of tumors and participating in treatment planning.
- Administering high doses of ionizing radiation for therapeutic purposes under the guidance of a Radiation Oncologist.
- Serving as a primary caregiver to patients and facilitating communication with other healthcare professionals as necessary.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Radiation Therapy, Radiography, or a related field. Candidates with an Associate's Degree and relevant experience will also be considered.
- If holding a Bachelor's Degree: ARRT Registration is required.
- If holding an Associate's Degree: Radiologic Tech (WI License) and Radiation Therapy Certification are required.
- The ability to work across multiple sites with flexible scheduling.
- Experience with Varian systems, specifically true beam or vital beam.
- Familiarity with Aria EMR (Varian product) is highly desirable.
