Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician II - Equipment Specialist to join our team at our Sturgis, MI location. As an integral part of our Abbott Nutrition division, this role will be responsible for maintaining and repairing manufacturing and facility systems, ensuring seamless operations and optimal performance.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain, repair, and service manufacturing and facility systems, including mechanical and building systems.
  • Perform skilled maintenance and repair services, interpreting blueprints and schematics as needed.
  • Implement methods, practices, and techniques to identify and address recurring problems with machinery, equipment, or parts.
  • Conduct periodic inspections to evaluate requests for repair and adhere to current sanitation and GMP requirements.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical diploma preferred.
  • 1+ year experience as an industrial or commercial Mechanic.
  • Understanding of mechanical systems and spatial aptitude.
  • Good mathematical and writing skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and determine the cause of improper machine operation, making necessary adjustments and repairs.
