Role Summary

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the continuous administration, management, and support of cloud-based Linux systems. Your expertise will be crucial in monitoring, troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing our cloud infrastructure to guarantee high availability, security, and performance.


Key Responsibilities
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Oversee and maintain cloud-based Linux servers across various platforms, including AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure. Configure and manage virtual machines, containers, and other cloud resources while implementing best practices for cloud security.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Regularly monitor system performance and reliability, diagnosing and resolving technical issues within cloud Linux environments. Utilize system monitoring tools, logs, and alerts effectively.
  • Maintenance and Upgrades: Conduct routine system updates, patches, and backups. Strategically plan and execute system upgrades and migrations with minimal disruption.
  • Automation and Scripting: Create and maintain automation scripts for routine tasks using Shell, Python, or other scripting languages. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure compliance with security policies and regulations in cloud environments. Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud infrastructure configurations and procedures. Generate regular reports on system performance and incidents.
  • Collaboration and Support: Work collaboratively with development, DevOps, and security teams to facilitate application deployment and management.

Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years in Linux system administration, with at least 2 years in a cloud environment. Proficient in cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, and familiar with automation tools like Terraform and Ansible.

Skills: Strong understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems, proficiency in scripting languages, and knowledge of networking and cloud architecture.


Preferred Qualifications

Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator) and experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes are advantageous.
