Job Title: Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist

Open Bionics is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist to join our team. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for delivering state-of-the-art prosthetic solutions to our customers, providing exceptional patient care, and contributing to the growth and development of our company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality prosthetic services to Open Bionics customers, adhering to our core values and mission.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to Hero Arm users, empowering them to achieve their personal goals and activities of daily living.
  • Educate and certify prosthetic care providers on the Hero Arm fitting process, ensuring seamless integration into clinical workflows.
  • Track performance metrics and customer feedback to inform growth strategies and optimize clinical workflows.
  • Review potential users' eligibility for the Hero Arm and support clinical trials with partners, driving adoption and funding applications.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and refine product offerings, ensuring clinical benefits for both clinicians and users.
  • Participate in consumer and trade shows, exhibitions, and conferences, showcasing Open Bionics' innovative solutions and expertise.
  • Contribute to clinical research projects and publications, reinforcing the value and benefits of Open Bionics' solutions.
  • Provide patient-centered upper limb prosthetic rehabilitation and ongoing support to Hero Arm users, ensuring successful outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist with recent graduation or 1-5 years of experience in Orthotics and Prosthetics.
  • Evidence-based practice approach to patient care, with a strong understanding of Open Bionics' vision and mission.
  • Proficiency in shape capture and rectification methods, with experience in 3D scanning technologies and digital rectification platforms preferred.
  • Ability to outline appropriate prosthetic prescriptions for upper limb absence, with evidence of creative problem-solving.
  • Excellent patient care and motivation to deliver exceptional patient experiences, monitoring outcomes and driving success.
  • Dedication to creating successful patient outcomes, defined by the patient's goals and needs.
  • Certification by the Board of Orthotist/Prosthetist Certification (BOC) or American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics (ABC) as Prosthetist or Orthotist/Prosthetist.
  • Passion for making high-end prosthetic solutions more accessible to end-users, with a commitment to Open Bionics' mission and values.
