Low Voltage Cabling Specialist

Basesix is seeking a skilled Low Voltage Cabling Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our security systems team, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining low voltage cabling systems in commercial buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and update low voltage wiring for access control, CCTV, data, intrusion, and other systems
- Read project drawings and blueprints to determine scope of work and correct installation
- Test, troubleshoot, and repair cabling systems already in place
- Perform inspections to ensure installations meet code requirements
- Complete detailed daily and inspection reports, documenting any issues
- Carry materials weighing 50+ pounds to project locations in new construction or occupied buildings
- Use power tools to complete installations and repairs
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Work experience with low voltage structured cabling
- Experience with commercial and residential systems
- Troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work on ladders and lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to read and comprehend written communication
- Frequent use of stairs, climbing, and descending
- Ability to stand up to 4 hours at a time
- Valid driver's license
