Position Overview:

The Division of Pediatric Nephrology at the University of Minnesota is actively seeking a dedicated, full-time board-certified or eligible nephrologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor level on an academic trajectory.

Practice Responsibilities:

  • We are looking for a highly driven clinician with specialized training in Pediatric Nephrology.
  • This full-time role encompasses clinical responsibilities at M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital and affiliated Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota.
  • Additional duties will involve teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, engaging in clinical practice through UMPhysicians, and contributing to service activities for the department, medical school, and the broader medical community.
  • The successful applicant will engage in research initiatives and other academic or scholarly endeavors, either as a collaborator or as an independent researcher, and will partake in faculty development activities aligned with their career aspirations.

About Our Division:

The Division of Pediatric Nephrology is recognized as one of the premier pediatric nephrology programs nationally. We maintain a robust dialysis and transplant program for children facing end-stage kidney failure, and we proudly report the highest documented success rate for infant kidney transplants globally. Our pediatric nephrologists collaborate closely with various specialties, including pediatric urology, transplant surgery, pediatric psychology, nutrition, and social work, to ensure a comprehensive approach to managing pediatric kidney disease. Our faculty are engaged in active clinical research in areas such as glomerular disease and kidney transplantation.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited ACGME pediatric residency and nephrology fellowship training program.
  • Board eligible or certified.
  • Must possess or be eligible for Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain DEA certification in Minnesota.
  • Must meet the threshold criteria for Credentialing and Privileges.
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
