Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor - Operations Manager to join our team at Masonite International. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for directing the activities of other production supervisors and working closely with the production manager to oversee production activities and assist in meeting operating plan goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct the activities of 20+ direct reports and 50+ total reports under their supervisory organization.
  • Meet budget requirements by developing and implementing cost reduction projects for operational improvements and efficiency cost control.
  • Participate in Lean Six Sigma training and supervisor skills coaching.
  • Supervise and establish priorities and schedules for interior/primary production personnel.
  • Respond to breakdowns by determining the problem and effecting immediate repair.
  • Support a corporate culture that focuses on facts, tangible results, and behaviors.
  • Maintain production staff by participating in recruiting, selecting, orientating, and training employees; maintaining a safe and secure work environment; and developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Achieve staff results by communicating job goals and expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma required; college degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of production/supervisory experience.
  • Previous experience directing skilled production personnel.
