Position Overview:

Steward Health Care is seeking a dedicated and skilled pharmacist to join our pharmacy team in a full-time evening role. This position is essential in ensuring the safe and effective distribution of medications to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process medication orders and verify technician-prepared products prior to release.
  • Maintain the security of the pharmacy and manage controlled substances effectively.
  • Enter patient and order information with precision, ensuring compliance with pharmacy protocols.
  • Assist in training new pharmacy staff and keep the Director informed about daily pharmacy operations.
  • Generate and maintain accurate reports related to medication dispensing and inventory.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards in all pharmacy practices.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient medication therapy.

Required Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current pharmacist license in the relevant state.
  • Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy setting is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacology, medication management, and pharmacy operations.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
