Payroll Operations Specialist

Job Summary:
The HealthWell Foundation is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator to manage our payroll operations for 230 employees. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, benefits, and deductions while collaborating closely with HR and Accounting teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and execute the full payroll cycle, ensuring accurate and timely processing of salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
- Reconcile benefits such as health insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), and 401(k) to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Verify and manage employee deductions, including insurance benefits and various taxes (federal, multiple state, and local), to ensure proper processing.
- Collaborate with HR and Accounting teams to collect, validate, and integrate payroll information, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data security protocols for all payroll-related information to protect employee privacy and company data.
- Handle payroll-related projects including audits, balance sheet reconciliations, and special assignments, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of payroll processing experience with a proven record of accuracy and reliability.
- APA CPP Certification is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience, including a valid payroll certification.
- Implementation experience of payroll system is highly desirable.
- Experience with ADP Payroll systems is highly desirable.
