Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated supervisor to oversee shift personnel in the Billet Yard and Rod Handling departments, enhancing support for our hourly workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the rolling lineup to execute the production plan for the shift.
  • Manage inventory levels of billets and rods.
  • Collaborate with production planning to implement shipping plans for rods and billets.
  • Coordinate the movement of full and empty rail cars with the Transportation department.
  • Conduct inventories and procure necessary supplies for the department.
  • Work with Maintenance personnel to coordinate on-shift repairs of both stationary and mobile equipment.
  • Effectively interface with other supervisory staff, personnel from various departments, and ISWA personnel.
  • Ensure all safety protocols, functions, equipment, and operations are maintained during the shift in the Lower Reform area of the Rod Mill and Billet Yard.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to achieve Liberty's goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a one-year certificate program from a college or technical school, or a high school diploma or GED.
  • 3-6 months of relevant experience and/or training.
  • Willingness to work swing shifts.
  • Mechanical and/or electrical skills are advantageous.
  • Proficiency in using personal computers and Microsoft software.
  • Strong supervisory and team-building capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills.

Compensation Range: $56,825 - $70,000 PLUS 1.5x Overtime

Discretionary Target Bonus: 12%
