As a leader in the commercial real estate industry, BOMA International seeks a Code Standards Professional to join its team. This individual will play a crucial role in shaping the built environment through code development and management.
The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for research, analysis, and writing, with a demonstrated interest in policy and advocacy related to the built environment. Experience in related fields such as architecture, civil engineering, safety/compliance, sustainability, permitting/licensing/accreditation is highly valued.
This dynamic role requires keen project management and organizational expertise, with exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills. The ability to develop strong relationships and build buy-in with various stakeholders is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze current and proposed codes, developing positions and resources on priority issues.
- Participate in ICC and other code development processes.
- Produce relevant communications materials, including e-newsletter articles and website content.
- Manage the work of the BOMA International Codes Committee.
- Support local codes committees and respond to requests from members.
Salary: $65,000-$75,000 annually
