Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods sector with comprehensive process expertise.
  • Over 5 years in a senior leadership role managing technical services, including maintenance, automation, and utility operations.
  • More than 10 years of demonstrated experience in manufacturing and maintenance environments.
  • Familiarity with MRP and ERP systems.
  • Experience with PLC and control logic for high-speed machinery.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities with a proven track record of identifying root causes and formulating effective solutions.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.

Role Overview:

The Director of Maintenance will be responsible for overseeing all facets of maintenance, utilities, and inventory management. This position demands a leader with a robust history of improving manufacturing capabilities and performance to reduce downtime and enhance plant efficiency. The Director will ensure that all operations adhere to stringent standards for product quality and safety.

  • Lead the technical services team and manage both direct and indirect reports.
  • Supervise the engineering design and execution of capital projects to ensure timely delivery, working closely with relevant vendors.
  • Develop and oversee annual and long-term budgets for capital projects.
  • Support key performance initiatives by effectively collaborating with R&D, Quality, Engineering, Procurement, and Product Supply teams.
  • Ensure that manufacturing processes yield high-quality products efficiently and on schedule.
  • Foster a safe working environment and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Implement Lean manufacturing methodologies within the technical services division to promote continuous improvement.
  • Optimize the organizational structure to align with operational goals.
  • Establish and maintain quality metrics, preventive maintenance schedules, and performance benchmarks.
  • Lead initiatives focused on employee safety, environmental compliance, and product quality while fulfilling schedule commitments and cost objectives.
  • Act as a representative for the plant in engagements with regulatory officials and industry leaders.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
