Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Project Manager to lead our Statewide IT Support Hub. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising a remote team of Desktop Technicians and Business Analysts, providing technical support for equipment and applications used by agency employees throughout the state.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage a team of Desktop Technicians and Business Analysts to ensure timely and effective delivery of technical support services.
  • Provide expert-level support services to employees for hardware and software needs, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Implement service improvements to support field operations and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Manage broadcasts and communications statewide regarding IT actions from VDOT and VITA that affect employees.
  • Monitor support hub queues for completion and dispositioning to other program areas.
  • Explore opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance team efficiency and productivity.
  • Create and manage relationships with internal and external customers and vendors.
  • Assist in developing goals and objectives, identifying, measuring, evaluating, and reporting metrics for the team and individual team members.

Requirements:

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in supervising a team of technical professionals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Knowledge of IT application development processes and how they operate in a desktop environment.
  • Ability to analyze business needs, gather and analyze data, and communicate solutions to customers.
  • Knowledge of IT concepts and trends, as well as systems development design and enhancements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
