POSITION SUMMARY:

The Housing Authority is in search of a highly qualified and experienced Senior Plumbing Technician to manage plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance across our housing facilities. The successful candidate will ensure that all plumbing systems adhere to applicable codes and regulations while fostering a safe and sanitary environment for both residents and staff.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform plumbing inspections and evaluations to identify issues and formulate effective solutions.
  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures, pipes, fittings, and appliances.
  • Diagnose plumbing problems and implement efficient repair strategies.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to synchronize plumbing work with ongoing projects.
  • Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal plumbing codes and regulations.
  • Develop and execute preventative maintenance plans for plumbing systems.
  • Train and oversee junior plumbers and maintenance staff as necessary.
  • Address emergency plumbing situations and provide prompt resolutions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of plumbing work, inspections, and repairs.
  • Order necessary materials and equipment for plumbing tasks.
  • Complete computer entries related to job and work order status.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Valid Master Plumber License issued by TSBPE
  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience
  • Must possess a valid Texas Driver License and maintain a satisfactory driving record.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in a housing authority or similar residential facility
