We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Prospera Housing Community Services. Key Responsibilities- Inspect and Maintain Properties: Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure that all buildings and common areas are in good working order.
- Oversee Maintenance Staff: Supervise and direct maintenance staff to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Manage Maintenance Schedules: Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and within budget.
- Coordinate Repairs and Renovations: Work with vendors and contractors to coordinate repairs and renovations, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard.
- Ensure Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Manage Inventory and Supplies: Oversee the management of maintenance inventory and supplies, ensuring that all necessary materials are available when needed.
- Develop and Implement Maintenance Programs: Develop and implement maintenance programs to ensure that all properties are well-maintained and that all equipment is in good working order.
- Collaborate with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments, including property management and resident services, to ensure that all maintenance activities are coordinated and effective.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; 5 years of experience in multi-family housing maintenance preferred.
- Certifications and Licenses: Environmental Protection Agency Section 608 Certification required; Pool Operator Certification required if applicable to assigned property.
- Skills and Abilities: Extensive knowledge of maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, minor electrical, drywall repair, painting, and appliance repair; ability to read and understand operating instructions and manuals; ability to work independently and concurrently to perform multiple compliance projects.
The Maintenance Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to changing weather conditions, physical demands, and potential hazards. The ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and residents is essential.
