Job Overview

SUMMARY:

The Accounting Support Coordinator plays a crucial role in assisting the Accounting Department by managing Accounts Payable processes, conducting reconciliations, maintaining financial records, and executing various assigned tasks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute daily operational processes at the beginning and end of each day.
  • Transmit daily financial pledge files.
  • Reconcile and oversee multiple accounts.
  • Accurately process Accounts Payable activities in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Input and update prepaid transactions in the designated system.
  • Engage with other departments regarding reconciliation matters.
  • Assist in processing investment-related transactions.
  • Maintain daily and weekly financial rates.
  • Record and manage journal entries.
  • Review and validate financial reports.
  • Monitor postage, funding, and related entries.
  • Oversee specific transactions and accounts, executing necessary actions.
  • Support periodic regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Organize and maintain accounting files with timely filing practices.
  • Manage department supplies effectively.
  • Assist in the annual records retention process.
  • Conduct research on General Ledger and account activities as required.
  • Generate and distribute internal financial reports regularly.
  • Provide support to other department personnel as needed and take on additional responsibilities as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill each essential duty satisfactorily. The following qualifications are indicative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

  • Familiarity with banking and accounting procedures is preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong mathematical capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and listening), along with strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively at all levels and work independently.
  • Adherence to policies and procedures regarding the security and confidentiality of customer and bank-related information.
  • Professional representation of the Bank in all interactions.
