Psychiatric Care Expert

The Queen’s Health System is a leading healthcare organization in the Pacific region, serving the people of Hawai‘i with compassion and expertise. We are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our team of dedicated professionals.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing comprehensive psychiatric care to individuals and families across the lifespan. As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will have the autonomy to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and treat mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, and trauma-related disorders.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual needs, incorporating evidence-based practices and innovative approaches.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care, addressing physical, emotional, and social aspects of patient well-being.

In addition to clinical responsibilities, you will contribute to quality improvement initiatives, participate in educational programs, and engage in research activities to advance the field of psychiatric care.

Requirements:
  • Degree as an APRN or Physician Assistant, current licensure in Hawaii, and prescriptive authority for non-controlled substances.
  • Board certification in Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (APMHNP), Family Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (FPMHNP), or equivalent.
  • At least two years of experience in psychiatric-mental health nursing or a related field; one year of experience working as an APRN or Physician Assistant preferred.
Compensation:
