Manufacturing Process Specialist

We collaborate closely with our clients to develop a complete manufacturing cycle, from initial design and conception through development, validation, and timely delivery.
Role Purpose:
As a Process Engineer, you will play a vital role in advancing manufacturing excellence through innovative process enhancements and equipment optimization. Your engineering expertise will be crucial in improving product quality, operational efficiency, and sustainability. You will actively engage in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) teams and implement state-of-the-art solutions aimed at reducing waste and maximizing efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Represent Process Engineering in APQP teams.
2. Identify optimal methods for salvaging non-conforming materials.
3. Analyze processes for material savings, scrap reduction, and improvements in operator efficiency, making recommendations for implementation.
4. Innovate new production techniques utilizing engineering principles.
5. Design and implement new production equipment to enhance product quality and efficiency while minimizing scrap.
6. Optimize plant layouts to facilitate process flow and reduce material handling.
7. Maintain and update the Bill of Materials in the software system.
8. Conduct capacity assessments.
9. Generate internal quotations for new products as required.
10. Develop Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Design for Manufacturing/Assembly (DFM/A), and other engineering documentation as specified by clients.
11. Provide troubleshooting and repair support for machinery and equipment failures.
12. Modify PLC and Robot programs for product and process adjustments, with experience in Allen Bradley, Siemens, Fanuc, and ABB.
13. Evaluate plant processes and implement enhancements.
14. Address hardware and process issues through effective troubleshooting.
15. Plan and execute preventative maintenance.
16. Collaborate with team members to identify problems and implement solutions.
17. Ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a High School diploma with three years of relevant industrial process experience.
- Experience in an automotive manufacturing environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in layout design and process flow is essential.
- Competence in AutoCAD is required.
- Experience with PLC and Robotics programming is necessary.
