Job Overview

The Senior Technician - Security will be responsible for delivering high-quality installations of integrated security systems. This role demands significant involvement in projects, encompassing the physical setup, testing, and completion phases.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the subject matter expert and provide mentorship to a designated team of technicians.
  • Install, test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various security systems at client locations.
  • Installation tasks will include, but are not limited to: Video NVR/Servers, IP Cameras, Access Control Devices, Intrusion Devices, Head End Panel Installations, Intercoms, Wireless Devices, and Switch Gear.
  • Ensure project execution is within scope, timely, and budget-conscious.
  • Deliver system operation training to customers.
  • Maintain meticulous daily records and adhere to operational standards and practices.
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Comply with all relevant safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Evaluate material options and confirm count accuracy.
  • Keep the job site organized and clean.
  • Oversee the delivery of materials to the job site.
  • Coordinate with Project Management and Field Technicians for project timelines.
  • Be prepared for potential shift work during specified hours.
Qualifications Required:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Senior or Lead Technician with a security integrator, including current manufacturer certifications.
  • Experience in access control, video surveillance, and intrusion systems.
  • Possession of a valid US driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in sectors such as Healthcare, Education, Manufacturing, Utilities, Financial Services, and Hospitality.
  • Familiarity with video surveillance systems such as Avigilon, Genetec, Milestone, Bosch, Axis, Hanwha, and Exacq.
  • Knowledge of access control systems including Lenel, Software House, Avigilon, Genetec, Identiv, Honeywell, Open Path, RS2, S2, AMAG, Gallagher, and Open Options.
  • Experience with intrusion systems like DMP, DSC, Honeywell, and Bosch.
  • Understanding of locking hardware applications.
  • Skills in data terminations and field engineering.
  • Experience with blueprint updates using Bluebeam.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Procore, Fieldwire, and Smartsheets.
  • Experience in programming, testing, and training end-users on various security systems.
  • Willingness to travel for work if necessary.
  • Compliance with customer vaccination requirements, particularly in healthcare settings.

Physical Requirements:

Employees must be able to meet the following physical demands to successfully perform essential job functions:

  • Regularly required to stand, climb, walk, sit, push, pull, squat, crawl, and stoop.
  • Frequent use of hands for handling objects and typing; reaching with hands and arms; talking and hearing.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Occasional lifting and/or moving of up to 50 pounds may be necessary.
