Tunnell Government Services, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer to serve as a subject matter expert on cloud computing and data architecture technologies and trends for our Department of Defense medical research customer.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing, data architecture, and medical data science, with a minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting cloud environments, developing and administering IT operations environments, and administering servers on Windows and Linux platforms.

The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for creating and maintaining a well-informed, near-term and long-range cloud and data strategy document, advising the government on courses of action to adapt and improve their existing cloud computing and data resources/infrastructure, and monitoring the existing organizational cloud computing/data infrastructure to ensure that all regulatory, privacy, and technical issues are properly addressed in a cost-efficient manner.

The successful candidate will have experience in medical data science and big data analytics, and will be able to advise the government on best practices for data warehousing and Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) approaches, data integration and data migration, data governance and data quality management, and data security and privacy.

The Cloud Engineer will also serve as a lead interface among customer Data Science Division and customer Functional Teams, various information management/information technology decision-makers, and stakeholders on issues related to the analysis of capabilities, implementation, and use of cloud service offerings.

The ideal candidate will have one or more of the following cloud certifications: Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and will meet all requirements for obtaining and maintaining a Public Trust Clearance.
