Supply Chain Materials Supervisor

The ideal candidate will be responsible for independently planning their work schedule to meet project timelines, maintaining multiple records, demonstrating self-motivation and attention to detail, upholding a professional demeanor, and exhibiting a strong desire to take ownership of their projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee teams accountable for all materials, including incoming inspections, inventory management (both stockroom and manufacturing floor), and reject control.
  • Lead and manage the incoming inspection process for all materials and components, ensuring compliance with quality standards and specifications in a timely manner.
  • Communicate any issues to the Procurement department.
  • Supervise the organization of inventory and ensure the timely distribution of materials around the clock.
  • Manage the reconciliation processes for materials to guarantee accuracy and consistency.
  • Conduct root cause analyses for inventory discrepancies and implement necessary corrective actions.
  • Understand and manage rejected materials returned to the inventory area, ensuring proper and timely disposition.
  • Collaborate with the Procurement Manager to return rejected materials identified on the production floor.
  • Support the accounting of recovered materials.
  • Exhibit high levels of organization and efficiency in prioritizing workload.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, operations, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience managing materials in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficiency with an ERP system (SAP preferred).
  • At least 7 years of management experience leading small teams.
  • Experience working within an ISO9001-certified organization.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Personal attributes: Strong attention to detail, highly organized, capable of multitasking, personable, motivated, and proactive.
