Quality Director Job Description

Gregory Industries, Inc. is seeking a Quality Director to develop and implement the Quality program to ensure the organization's production operations from raw materials to finished products meet quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate production operations to ensure that products meet quality, integrity, functionality, and other specifications and requirements.
  • Collaborate with management and senior staff across production departments and roles to draft acceptable quality standards.
  • Develop and implement quality standard testing and evaluation processes.
  • Facilitate communication among production divisions and management.
  • Assess test results and approve recommended changes.
  • Review quality control documentation such as checklists, logs, and reports for effectiveness, accuracy, and relevance.
  • Conduct random inspections and quality control checks.
  • Periodically report status of quality control and operations to executive leadership and, when required, regulatory agencies.

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to train staff.
  • Thorough understanding of quality control standards and methodologies to include ISO, Six Sigma, etc.
  • Thorough understanding of manufacturing and production in the steel processing, roll forming and /or galvanizing industry.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Experience in ISO standard certification.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related industrial, scientific, or business field desired.
  • 5-10 years of quality management-related experience desired.
