Duration: 2 months (Possible extension based on performance)

Pay Rate: $34.64 - $37.76 per hour


Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Software Quality Assurance (QA) Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in software testing or development and possess a strong understanding of test design principles. As a QA Lead, you will be responsible for creating and executing test strategies, developing test suites, and ensuring high-quality software releases. The role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills and the ability to manage and prioritize testing tasks.


Key Responsibilities:

Test Strategy & Planning:


Develop and implement effective test strategies based on project requirements.

Create detailed test suites and scripts from functional requirements and user stories.

Design test cases for both structured (scripted) and ad-hoc testing.

Prioritize test cases to ensure coverage for high-risk areas.

Test Execution & Reporting:


Execute test scripts and document results, including identifying and verifying defects.

Conduct both manual and automated testing to ensure software quality.

Provide clear, concise test reports with results and defect findings.

Defect Management:


Document and verify defects in defect management software.

Collaborate with development teams to resolve issues and verify fixes.

Track and manage the status of defects through to closure.

Collaboration & Communication:


Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to report progress, issues, and risks.

Provide insights and recommendations on test coverage, test processes, and tool usage.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a testing, development, or related role.

Proficiency in DevOps and CI/CD concepts, with experience integrating testing into continuous delivery pipelines.

Strong ability to learn and apply test design principles proactively.

Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to find creative solutions to complex problems.

Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail.

Proficiency in writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document test results clearly and concisely.

Experience creating and executing automated tests from user stories.

Additional Skills/Experience:

Familiarity with defect management software and test management tools.

Experience with automation frameworks and tools is a plus.

Knowledge of Agile methodologies and how testing fits within Agile processes.

Work Environment:

Temporary position based in North Canton, OH.

The duration is 2 months with potential for extension based on performance.
