Job Description:


As a UX researcher, you will play a key role in shaping the design of state services and applications. Your primary responsibility will be to uncover user needs by conducting research, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and performing usability studies.

You will lead and co-lead primary and secondary user research, facilitating workshops, interviews, focus groups, and usability testing. Your expertise will be essential in planning and implementing user research strategies and methodologies, organizing and evaluating quantitative and qualitative research, and conducting market and ethnographic research.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and evaluate research topics and approaches, challenge the status quo, and propose innovative solutions to complex business problems. Your ability to present and promote research findings to program owners and business stakeholders will be crucial in driving decision-making.

You will be responsible for asking questions, gathering data, and analyzing data, using a diverse set of UX research tools. Your strong understanding of UI design and experience with creating wireframes, prototypes, and user personas will be valuable assets in this role.

Skills/Requirements:
Five or more years of UX research experience.
Strong understanding of UI Design.

Experience with:
Creating wireframes and prototypes and using various tools (Figma, Sketch, or equivalent).
Creating user personas and user journey maps.
Empathy mapping development.
Leading user workshops and facilitating sessions.
Generating insights from data and effectively sharing research results.
Planning and conducting usability testing.
Research-related tasks including research, planning, evaluating, and iteration.
Formulating specific, answerable, and practical questions.
Collaborating effectively with stakeholders and acting as a strategic partner in decisions.
Remote testing tools.
Creating formal presentations and user finding reports
Presenting findings and recommendations to executive sponsors and business stakeholders
